About ten years ago, I was introduced to the lead system. It came about when one of the agencies I work with suggested I get involved with the lead system to see if it would work along side of my current referral system. I was not interested in the beginning because my leads came from clients that bought policies from me. I could think of no warmer market than referrals from satisfied clients. Why would I want to pay for leads when I got my referrals for free? They said that I could do better with this system because it would put me in front of more people. Needless to say, I was skeptical. I had been successful doing what I had been doing for quite a few years. The agency asked me to do them a favor; order a certain amount of names which in turn gave the agency a better price and they would pay for my percentage of the leads. I reluctantly agreed, but would try it for them to see if this was a viable alternative to the referral system that I was using.
After I received the first leads; about ten, I believe I made approximately 8 valid appointments and sold six cases on those eight calls. I couldn't believe it! ! ! I had never had that kind of success even dealing with a "HOT" market referral. I thought it was "to good to be true". I had been in this business for over 10 years, as good as I thought I was, I never had that kind of success. I continue to use this system today and can honestly say that, without the lead system I truly believe I would not be in this business today. It has eliminated so much wasted time on calls that end up with me just "spinning my wheels."
With the help of Leadco and their staff of helpful professionals, I have achieved a level of success that I did not think was possible. To this day the quality of their leads has remained the same level that I received back ten years ago when I first experienced their lead system. I wanted to take a little time and write a letter to share with other agents about the value of your lead program. You (LEADCO) and I have worked together for about 6 years with a lot of success. I have been in the insurance business since 1970 and have tried all of the prospecting tools; none have worked as well as your program. While I have an established clientele in the Washington DC area, I still wanted to reach out for more. The value in the program is your 'up front' letter to the prospect. It is honest about what the subject is . . . life insurance coverage on the families most important asset . . . the home. Second, when I received the reply card, I feel confident they want me to call. I'm not in the same arena as a telemarketer. While your letter or reply card does not sell the insurance, it gives me an honest opportunity to approach people and do what I do best . . . sell financial services.
Here is a surprise! Many times after selling policies to cover the mortgage, I have gone into other areas of financial services, long-term care, annuities, and 401k rollovers from old employers, and the list is still growing. I get referrals from these satisfied new customers making the average cost on your lead cheaper. Please allow me to add another important point that occurred in my world. I lived in the Washington DC area all my life; I took 30 years to build a clientele in that area around the beltway. I made a personal decision in 1999 at 53 years of age with 29 years in the business to move to a water community away from the metro confusion. I still wanted to work wherever I relocated. Remember how we discussed during 1999 before my move how I was going to use your system to create another clientele away from DC? Well almost two years later I'm using your system here in my new home area with success.

I have ordered from Leadco on an ongoing basis for about a year now, I just placed my most recent order 2 weeks ago. My experience has been that if you work the leads (call as soon as you get the leads and call back as many times as it takes) that you can at least double or triple your money each time. Although, they are not always 'easy revenue', it's still coming in each month. I will continue to order these leads and am thinking about increasing to 2 counties per month in the near future.

I have been using the Leadco program for a little over 3 months now. I've had good results. I probably average a 50/60% appointment percentage, which means I actually get to see 50/60 percent of the leads I receive. I follow the script well, and consider myself an above average appointment setter. Making the sale off one of your leads is each individual's personal responsibility. I believe I have sold somewhere around 5-6 policies out of about 10-12 different leads. As you can see that is around 50%, which is very acceptable. I just need to get my hand on more leads! I personally like to sell life insurance. Whether it is for mortgage protection, burial, final expenses, or whatever. Logical people see the importance of it and when they qualify (health and financially) it pays well for me. I haven't spent that much money on these leads, but wouldn't hesitate if they were a little more plentiful in my office. I like to call people on a lead when they know exactly what I'm calling for, and welcome my professional advice. That is what I have experienced with your leads.

I wanted to thank you and Leadco for helping me become one of the top agents at my company. I am currently packing for a company trip to New Orleans, which Leadco has helped me win. I have had very good results from your program. I have had an 80% success rate with the leads becoming appointments. My success rate after meeting the applicant has been 80%. The reason it is not 100 percent is either the cost of the insurance, or the health of the applicant. The warmth of the response from the applicant is always surprising to me. Several have become friends. I believe the money I have spent for leads has been worthwhile. The customer service at Leadco has been first rate. Normally, if there is a problem with the lead, it is replaced promptly and cheerfully. Thanks for helping me to exceed the sales goals in my company!
